The researchers set out to explore in detail the role of human resource (HR) management practices on knowledge management in a Jordanian firm. The cumulative impact of HR practices and knowledge management on organizational performance is then studied. Human Resource Departments ability to maintain and support databases, leverage technologies, foster a team a team environment, attract and retain human capital, offer blended learning, and efforts to provide continuous learning are assessed for their influence on knowledge management initiatives. The impact of knowledge management practices including the maintenance of repositories, developing communities of practice, business intelligence and continuous learning on organizational performance is studied. Respondents considered for this empirical research are senior and middle level managers across all functional departments. A structured questionnaire was administered with personal interviews to elicit respondent views and suggestions. A Likert's attitudinal scale has been used to draw responses. The researchers present in the paper findings, conclusions and suggestions to support improved Organizational Performance.

I have been conferred with the Prof. K. Venkat Reddy gold medal in MBA for the batch 1992-1994 by S.K. University. I have been awarded with Doctor of Philosophy in Management for my dissertation titled ‘Organizational Culture and Network Embeddedness’. I possess to my credit a bachelors degree in law with Labor legislations as specialization. I have published five articles in different Journals and presented my research work in Human Resource Management, Knowledge Management, and Organizational Culture in various International Conferences including one in the International Colloquium on Business and Management, Bangkok. Have also undertaken consultancy work for the Government of Andhra Pradesh, India.

I am a Doctorate in Management from the University of Mumbai with more than 25 years of experience in teaching, research and consulting. I have been associated with the University of Mumbai, NIZWA College of Technology, Oman under the Ministry of Manpower, Sultanate of Oman, RMIT University, Vietnam and currently with the New York Institute of Technology, Amman, Jordan.
