Hooi Lai Wan is currently a research fellow at the Centre for Technology Policy and International Studies and has extensive teaching experience conducting courses at the graduate level. She has attained her postgraduate degree majoring in Human Resource Management from Japan and a professional degree in Company Secretarial from U.K. She also holds a Level 1 in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. Besides, sharing her experiences and research in local and international conferences, she has also contributed articles to various international journals and authored several books. She teaches courses in human resource and quality management. Her research interests lie in the areas of human resource management, especially Japanese style of human resource management.
