Rod is the Managing Director of William Bethwey & Associates. He has wide experience in the private sector and at all levels of the public sector gained in Australia, Europe and the Asia Pacific region. With over twenty years experience in information technology and business practices gained in management and consulting positions Rod applies his practical knowledge and expertise to his consulting assignments and is retained in advisory capacity by many leading organisations. He has led the development of over twenty Knowledge Management Strategies and has been involved across a broad range of knowledge management solutions. This experience includes involvement in the analysis, design and implementation of Document Management, Records Management, Portal technologies, Search and Retrieval Systems, Imaging, Workflow and Collaborative Systems. Rod is also an active thought leader in knowledge management. He has completed a Doctorate in Business Administration focussing on knowledge management and also holds an M.B.A. and post-graduate teaching qualifications. Rod is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne where he lectures in Knowledge Management in the Master of Knowledge Management and Master of Business Information Systems Degrees. He has published a number of research articles and supervises industry based research programmes. Because of this broad experience he is also a regular presenter at conferences and workshops around the Asia-Pacific region.
