Professor Elaine S. Potoker

(BA, SUNY, Potsdam; MAT, The University of Chicago; Ph.D. The Ohio State University) is an associate professor of business in the Loeb-Sullivan School (Department of Graduate Studies and Research and {undergraduate} program of International Business and Logistics) at Maine Maritime Academy, Castine, Maine. Dr Potoker has over 20 years of experience in international business, and has travelled extensively domestically and overseas in a management, sales and marketing capacity. Other affiliations: Owner of Interloqui, a firm providing International Trade Service assistance, and formerly Coordinator of Central American Sales, Reed Mfg. Co., Erie, Pa.; Rotary International of Bangor, Maine, member, Cleveland World Trade Assoc. (former Board member); Judge/Niagara Moot Court Competition (Case Western Reserve Univ.); she is a reviewer for the American Marketing Assoc. and the Academy of Management (International Division, Entrepreneurship, and Women in Management Division). Dr Potoker's research and writing intercultural communication, business assessment and development, international marketing, and international and human resource management, and international trade with focus on the Caribbean and Central America.
