This study investigates the relationship between leadership styles and stress of managers. On this basis, four hypothesizes were compiled. The statistical society consisted of 104 persons (managers) which included 54 female managers and 50 male managers. For determining the style of managers’ leadership two questionnaires were used; one with 22 questions of psychological pressure of R.S Eliot, and another with 35 questions of Metzcus and burden’s for determining the range of their stress. After extracting and arranging the data for hypothesis test, the correlation method and comparison test of two averages were used. The obtained results show that the stress of manager is affected by the factors such as social, economical, cultural, official and political factors. Therefore, the effectiveness of the leadership style in the range of stress should be investigated regarding the type of manager’s personality and the situation in which he is located and also the specifications of the coworkers and the environment in which he is located. The efficient and effective manager has tendency for selecting the different models of behavior in different conditions.
