The research aims at probing the influence of employee engagement on the knowledge management process. Various dimensions of both employee engagement and knowledge management are considered for testing their relationship. A structured questionnaire is used to elicit opinions and comprehend knowledge management processes and the degree of employee engagement in select organizations. The data is analyzed to determine the intermediating effect of employee engagement in the success of knowledge management practices. A model is used to hypothesize these relationship and it is the framework for this empirical research. Suggestions for improving effectiveness of KM practices and scope for future research are presented.

I have been awarded with Doctor of Philosophy in Management for my dissertation titled ‘Organizational Culture and Network Embeddedness’. I possess to my credit a bachelors degree in law with Labor legislations as specialization. I have published five articles in different Journals and presented my research work in Human Resource Management, Knowledge Management, and Organizational Culture in various International Conferences including one in the International Colloquium on Business and Management, Bangkok. Have also undertaken consultancy work for the Government of Andhra Pradesh, India.

I, Ms.Swapna Bhargavi Gantasala am an Assistant Professor in Aurora P.G. College dealing with Finance and HR specialization subjects for students of the MBA programme. Iwas earlier employed as Team Member at Continuum Solutions for Baank of America. I have presented papers at numerous international conferences including one at the International coloquium on Business and Management, Bangkok.I am also currently pursuing my Ph.D in the specialization area of Finance and working on various reasearch areas.

Prof. C.N.Krishna Naik is currently the Head of the Department, Sri Krishna Devaraya Institute of Management, Sri Krishna Devaraya University, India. He is a distinguished researcher and has presented papers at conferences in the Oxford University, at the Cambridge University, ICBM Bangkok and ICE Malaysia. He has so far under his research supervision awarded twelve doctoral degrees and ten Masters degrees. He has publications in numerous National and International Journals.
